I get up this morning and log in to my Fitness Pal page and at the top is an advertisement for dating but the entire back ground is donuts! Glazed, chocolate, sprinkles!! Donuts are a huge weakness for me! I wasn't even thinking about them until I logged in. Does anyone else think this is wrong for a health & fitness site?

As "SASSY0913" mentioned in yet ANOTHER post about these donuts.....
This site is free BECAUSE of advertisers, no matter what they are advertising. I know it's difficult, but I would rather have some donuts at my home page (scroll down a little by the way, and they are out of sight!!) than have to pay for this site.0 -
I haven't noticed the donuts yet. My personal fave, is the drawing of the fat lady that keeps popping up on the right side of my screen. I swear she's taunting me.0

I agree with ODONNA...the site is free because of the advertising so unfortunately we just have to adjust. And Becka77 donuts is also MY weakness. I just look at it as something that will make me stronger as I go. I also work 5 days a week 3 doors down from a privately owned bakery that has the best donuts in the world (well maybe not...but they are awesome). Is that a temptation? Yes. But I have gone since Feb without giving in. And I've had to go in and actually SMELL the donuts fresh baked several times because my grandson wanted them twice. Now my 85 year old friend broke her knee and she has a habit of having 2 huge chocolate chip donuts a week. So, guess who she asked to bring her 2 since she cant's drive and I work right there? By the way she is about 4' 10" and probably weighs 85 lbs! Life just isn't always fair. Try to scroll down and ignore it. You ARE stronger than an advertisement!0

Dont you find it weird that it is a dating site advertising with donuts?? I am not talking about a donut advertisement! I am thinking the dating site is using donuts because of the dieting of the clients on this site - to get our attention. Which worked! I am stronger then an advertisement but my brain has a mind of it's own - I cant always tell it what to crave
Of course I love the site being free - this is something I found kinda funny0 -
donuts and dating sure I always take my dates to D&D0

MFP doesnt put a specific ad on a page, what happens is they likely subscribe to a ad service that scans across random ads from advertiser. I also think it looks at your cookies on your computer and tries to find relative stuff you have been looking at online (searching people to date who like donuts?) But its a free site and the ads are what they are0
