My wedding dress won't fit

As I work to get the last 15ish pounds off and tone up to reach my goal I realized this morning that after 16 years of marriage and two pregnancies my wedding dress would be 1-2 sizes too big to where I am right now, as I weigh 20 pounds less than I did on my wedding day (I wish I could try it on but it is in storage about 4 hours home). I have been married to the best, most supportive awesome man (coincidentally my high school sweetheart) for those 16 years. I love him more deeply today than the day we got married.

He's loved me literally through thick and thin. Never once telling me I needed to lose weight (I was 285ish the day he proposed - could have been more as I was in scale denial) and never feeling jealous or insecure when I started getting the weight loss attention (had two big losses - for my wedding and about 4 years ago). He has been my rock and my cheerleader. He has also been my defender when I have been critisized. He has always loved me for me and has always been attracted to me. The same is true for me to him.

In the last month he has decided himself to shed some pounds and get fitter. Not becasue I want him too (he is HOT to me no matter what) but becasue we want to grow old and grey together, and someday keep up our love of travel and be continent hopping with our adult kids and grandkids. He came to that decision on his own and I am proud of him for that (and he's eating TONS of fruits and veggies too, after a lifetime of being a self-declared "meatatarian". Sweetie I am so proud of you.

Anyhow, I just wanted to share. I feel sad when I read posts about jealousy and relationships having troubles becasue of one spouse losing and the other not. And hopefully, your experience in your journey will be similar to mine - your relationship keeps getting stronger through the process.

my DH is just like your's. He does get concerned about my weight gain, but has never told me that his love of me is conditional on the # on the scale. I also think he is sexy and handsome, although he is skinny as a rail and has skinny bird legs. LOL. he is supportive, just like your's. my wedding dress wouldn't fit me now, but that's okay, because it didn't really fit me on my wedding day.
