What is a GRAZE Box (no "codes" here)

I googled it - am I missing something? I am really trying to understand what the hoopla is about. :)

Post that is not bills :D

They are nice little snacks that are handy, tasty and portioned out so you know what you are eating. Some have 1 of your 5 a day in, some are seeds and stuff. Often it is things I would never buy but it tastes good.

As cynical as I am about subscription boxes (they are typically way overpriced), I can see the appeal. You get a package full of surprises once a month/week/whatever, and I think that can be a lot of fun. The snacks in the Graze program seem really tasty, too.

(Never mind that I've seen them all at Sam's Club and Sunflower for about 1/10th the cost. Sorry, I can only deny my cynicism for so long!)

Thanks - Just the way the code emails are going I thought that maybe Elvis was found alive and was going to have one concert and there was a limited number of "codes" to get concert tickets.

Do they have "special" snacks you can't get anywhere else?

I guess I will just continue visiting my local costco/walmart/bulk barn and purchase the snacks we love and either portion them myself or buy the convenient pre-portioned ones.

They do stuff I have not seen anywhere else. I have yet to get one I don't like at all. YOu can rate what you like so they send you more of that. And you don't know what you got til you open your box. I could do something similar myself and probably somewhat cheaper, but I like the variety. Sometimes you get flapjacks or brownies, I would have to bake them and eat for a week or whatever.

That's pretty cool and I can see that adding to the appeal. I was only going by what they had shown on the website.

I looked at the website as well and I was actually a bit horrified, seems like the snacks were all really high in sugar. Well for me anyway.... I would rather just eat a cookie as one of my snacks if I want that much sugar. And I love cookies waaaayyyyy more than banana chips and dried fruit.

I think for people that struggle with finding healthier snacks and such, it can be a good option. I'm interested in trying it out myself because I figure it would be good to have at work, but I'm not so sure I would get everything they have. People are saying you should pick the "light" box as that's where the healthy snacks are.

There are healthier choices and those that are not as healthy. The appeal to me is that they come portioned and at $6, no additional shipping, per box, makes each snack $1. Since I picked a lot of the healthy options and some of the more fun options, it will give me a variety of snacks, for about the same price as a candy bar. Also, first and fifth box are free, so I figure I will try it the 5 times and decide how much I like it! Convenient snacks that are better for you then some, probably not as good as others.

Honestly, some of them - yes. You can get wasabi peas, standard trail mix, pistachios anywhere.

But a lot of the treats are much harder to come by. I'd have to spend a small fortune to buy all the dried fruit, nuts and seeds, crunchies, chocolate, crackers and dippers, etc that I get in the box. I've never seen in a store vanilla pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds (and holy mother, are they good).

Graze boxes are definitely not the most economical or healthiest way to snack, but they're really fun :)

It's a service whereby you get to pay $6 for a box containing about $0.50 worth of snacks and $5.50 worth of packaging and delivery costs.

But it's on the internet, so it's, like, totally worth it.

You get the first box free, the second one $2 if people use your codes, so just for that it's worth it, IMO. I'll see if I want to continue after that though... it might not be worth it, depending on the size of the snacks and how many there are in a box (I mean, you don't get that many snacks for $1 these days anyway, I think it's only 4 per box though?). But I'm going to enjoy the variety, I think (I picked the 'light' boxes so everything is under 150 calories).

My best friend swears by them as a daily snack. They're very, very nice people to deal with, as well. However, sadly, if you have any kind of major food insensitivity besides nuts, they're not a large enough operation, nor is their selection varied enough, for you to have many selections.

I have a severe capsaicin allergy and the very sweet customer service lady admitted I'd only be able to eat about 20% of their selection, so I didn't proceed with my subscription. But if you're not allergic to anything, I think it's a good little gourmet snack service.

Fair enough. I have to admit you have me curious about the vanilla flavored seeds.

And having fun is more than enough justification. :)
