Resveratrol

Before getting panties in a bunch...I know the only MAGIC to weight loss is calorie deficit. My question about resveratrol isn't for weight loss.

What I want to know is if there is any truth behind the hype of its excellent antioxidant properties and health benefits such as helping skin stay youthful, helping prevent things such as diabetes, certain cancers, heart disease etc...

If so...what kind and how much should you take?

    I just drink red wine in moderation, like once a week.

    I prefer to munch my vitamins, rather taking a pill

    ive heard theres some truth to that. My supplements are liquid that I drink as "juice" in the morning (actual juice is WAY too sweet these days) so I throw some in there occasionally.

    I took it for a while and didn't notice anything different. I know people who have taken it and swear they have reduced appetite and increased energy.

    ETA: I drink wine, too, so maybe I already had all the benefits I could have expected from it. :drinker:
