Hi, I'm new to the sight. I am 24 with a nine month old looking to lose 20 lbs. But I am still nursing for another 3 months so I am wondering how to incorporate that into my daily calories. Is anyone in the same boat with me?

Welcome! I'm not in that boat with you, but I do know that nursing moms need 500 extra calories/day. I think I would just add that to the calorie allowance that MFP gives you. Good luck on your weightloss journey!0

I'm also a nursing mom that is trying to lose some weight. My daughter is 4 months old.
I don't count any extra calories for nursing because I like to have that "safety net" in case I have a bad day. Some women add 500 to their daily calorie goal. If you search for "breastfeeding" under "Food" there is an entry you could add in. Others add 500 calories under "Exercise." I've heard that breastfeeding burns between 200-600 calories a day depending on how much milk you produce.0
