What am I doing wrong?

I've only started this 3 months ago. I'm around 64kg, trying to lost some weight I gained on an overseas holiday (and a gradual gain over the last year). Want to get back down to 55-57kg

In the last 3 months I lost about 2kg from when I started, going from eating whatever to 1200cal/day. I admit that I hadn't really been sticking to the limit until the last few weeks where I've been really strict during the week and then usually allowing myself an indulgence meal on the weekend because I figured if I did exercise and didn't eat back the calories I'd have some to spare at the end of the week.

Here's the frustrating part- I've completely plateaued. The last month- no loss at all. Like the last 2 weeks I worked really hard and managed to lose 0.3kg, then one indulgence weekend meal and I've been back up 0.7kg all week even the lat 3 days staying in my limit plus exercise! On this day I had barely eaten anything so I could splurge on this one meal I was looking forward to a well! Do I need to cut out all indulgences? It doesn't seem right that I'm so strict with myself all week with one big meal on the weekend and I'm BARELY maintaining. My weekly net average is still below 1200!

The most annoying part is, the last time I lost weight in my early 20s (I'm 26 now) it came off steadily at .5kg a week when I was this weight and I didn't have to exercise at all. Can anyone thing of reasons this is happening? I weigh everything or eat packaged foods and add the calories stated in the nutrition info.

Hey- Everyone is different but I do better when I eat some calories back from exercise otherwise I feel completely starved. I tried doing the one day of indulgence and ended up getting so off track that I started obsessing about the rest of the week and planning so far ahead for that one day. I now started trying to listen to my body for clues. Someone suggested finding ways to make the foods that I love healthier which helped a lot. Hope this helps!

it depends how big your indulgences are actually. You can starve yourself all week and then wipe out the deficit on the weekend. Are you weighing every single thing and measuring only the liquids? Logging all foods including your indulgences? Another point is that if you do a lot of exercise your body stores more water to repair itself.
