Stuck On A Plateau

Hey all,

I have been on and off of the myfitnesspal regime for a few months now. When I started out I was able to lose about 10 pounds really quickly and even in my off time from dieting, I've been able to keep it off. For the last 2 weeks, however, I have been exercising daily, eating under my calorie goal at least 5 or 6 days a week, but haven't been able to take off even a tenth of a pound. I'm starting to get really frustrated, and my frustration is starting to lead to me wanting bad foods, and occasionally caving to those cravings.

Any advice on how to break the wall? Or at the very least, how to not be angry at the wall?

Also, I am definitely accepting friend requests for support! Feel free to add or PM me.

2 weeks is not a long time to call this a plateau....

Open your diary will be the first request...hard to give advice without all the "facts"

While I am not a weight loss expert, I do know that to be successful, you need to be consistent and patient. You only started this program in June and admittedly, you've been on and off in that short time. Also, even when you are following the program, you are not always eating at a deficit. With out knowing anything about your eating or exercise, I would suggest faithfully logging everything for at least a month and stick with it. Off and on will not work. Good luck!

You've not hit a wall. You need fewer calories the less you weigh. So if your daily target is the samea s it was at the start, you are just eating a little too much.

Go to Settings at the top, then "Update diet/fitness profile" and get MFP to recalculate your daily requirement. You'll proabably notice it come down a bit.

And make sure you weigh everything and are not getting complacent with portion sizes, or that sneaky bit of cheese that you "forgot" to log.
