Sodium

I realize that if you have a really bad sodium day then you normally gain some water weight and keep it on for a few days because of the salt. I was just wondering how long does your water weight after a bad sodium day normally stay? How many days does it take for it to come off? I don't care about the weight gain or anything, I know it will come off, but I was just wondering how everyone else's bodies reacted to it. :)

My body normally gains like, 2 to 4 pounds by the next morning, and takes about 4 days to leave. What about you?

I am not sure on the asparagus. Fresh raw asparagus only has 2mg's of sodium per 100 grams. Now if it was in a can, that is a differetn story (and that explains the high content of sodium)

Celery on the other hand is a higher sodium veggie. approx. 2 med-large stalks have 81mg's of sodium (still not overly bad, but higher than most raw veggies)

Any think you buy/eat that is in a can is going to have mega amounts of sodium. Same with any processed kinds of meats. (lunch meats, hot dogs, ham slices etc)

Usually depends on how much I have had to drink that day and how much I have sweated. If I had a long run and sweated a lot, then I won't gain but maybe a pound and it is gone the next day. If it is on a non-workout day, I can gain about 4 lbs or so from it, but usually it is gone within a few days.
