Can I make up for a day of way over sodium?

So I went about 1000mg over on my sodium. I did drink water that day but didn't track it well and it wasn't as much as usual. Can I I guess eat at a way low sodium deficit and it will make up for my bad day?

I honestly wouldn't worry about it, unless you have an issue with sodium. If you're eating at a deficit, it's not going to cause you to gain "true" weight anyway
I go over mine, I'm sure. I just don't track it.

I go over mine quite often. Just drink a ton of water to flush it through.0

It's not going to impact your weight loss, except possibly in the very short term with regard to water retention. Unless you have or are at risk for a medical condition which requires you to monitor sodium, I wouldn't worry about occasional overages in the slightest. Just drink some extra water and all will be fine.0

Forget about it. Unless you have an issue that suggests you should eat low sodium don't even look at it.0

I will second (third? fourth?) the idea of not worrying about it. It really doesn't mean anything. Drink some water and continue on with life. Crap, if I am only 1000mg over sodium for the day I consider it a good day. Most days it's higher than that.0

I don't keep track of sodium. Somebody with chronically high sodium intake who hydrates plenty will retain more water at any given time, on average. Water will provide the kidneys the solvent to flush it out, as the kidneys regulate sodium homeostasis.0
