Anyone had Mirena symptoms that got better?

I started my weight loss journey on June 29th, after my six week postpartum check up. I felt incredible, unstoppable. Reading the success stories here and lifting weights made me feel like I could take on the world. I've been truly inspired and then, I got my Mirena. I've had it for a month now and my doctor insisted I give it more time, but I'm a mess. I feel fat, ugly and uninspired. I'm forcing myself to continue my work outs but I just feel miserable. I'm tired, irritable, have on and off headaches all day. Oh, and starving. Before, I was satisfied with my calories. Now, I find myself fighting to not start adding more (I've held off but it's miserable). Anyone out there have their symptoms go away, if they've had it? ...at least subside? I don't plan on giving up but this is getting bad

I'd give it a little longer. It shouldn't really be giving you so many symptoms. I actually just had my 2nd one put in Monday and I've been starving as well. So, if it is because of the Mirena, I know it eventually does go away I lost all my weight having Mirena the whole time. It's been great having no period or trying to remember pills for 5 years!0

I have had Mirena for 4 yrs. Other than no monthly AF, I wouldn't even know it was there.0

You really do have to give it longer. I have had mine since March and in the first month I felt horrible and I was bloated beyond belief plus I bled constantly 2 weeks after I had it inserted so I was miserable. Called the doctor complained about how bloated I was and he gave me fluid pills same ones they give pregnant women if they swell. I dropped 7lbs the first week I took them. Only took them for the 30 days I was prescribed and I never had a problem since. They say the mirena is low hormone so we shouldn't have any problems with our blood pressure. I am surprised you are getting headaches. I was told by 6 months you should start to even out and I did at the 4 month marker it started getting better but by 6 months I stopped bleeding what felt like all the time and I do still have a period but its like clockwork comes on the same day every month and ends on the same day and its extremely light no cramps at all. I toughed it out because I cannot afford to have another baby, I can't take the pill because it raises my blood pressure, tried the nuva ring but they fail to tell you that with some women that have had vaginal deliveries they tend to fall out so that was a fail, and I am not ready for tubal ligation. So right now I am 7 months in and its great I say give it some time before you pack it in unless you just can't take it.0
