Relatively new...best benefit so far is?

I am feeling less lethargic and looking forward to moving my butt! I am not into any big workouts per se' but I have been walking pretty much daily and I'm just starting to learn to jog. Learn to jog sounds stupid, like just do it...only I can't yet. :noway:
Anyway, after 3 weeks I'm really pleased with the way my attitude and outlook has changed for the better. I really believe I WILL do this, and that I CAN do this, even if it takes 3 years to get to my goal. I'm embracing life and making time to exercise. How nice.
What are you getting out of it?

I still think of myself as relatively new, but I'm coming up on two months. Like you I'm happy about my attitude -- I haven't felt discouraged in weeks that I didn't lose or only lost half a pound, I'm still committed to the journey, still logging. I'm also happy about the difference in my walking pace - now a mixed walk and jog -- and how the nine flights of stairs up to my office seem easier to climb then they did two months ago. And while I can't see difference, the tape measure claims I've lost an inch around the waist, and I can FEEL a difference when I grip the fat around my waist. And there's been some improvement in my blood pressure, from about the middle of the pre-hypertension range to the low end or even dropping down to normal about half of the time. All good things.
Congrats to you on three weeks, and best wishes for many more! Thanks for the idea of summarizing the benefits so far -- it helps to stop and take stock, since so far nobody is saying to me, "Wow! You look great!" That's OK. I'll say, "Wow! I feel great!"0
