Lots of leg pain out of nowhere!! What's going on?

I know no one on here is a doctor, but it's 2am and I have just begun experiencing this problem, so MFP was the best idea I had for where to get help for now. If the problem persists, I will see an actual doctor.

So I exercise fairly often, weights three days a week and running three days a week. For the past several days I have been pretty inactive however; I'm in law school and I have an exam next week, so I've been very busy with studying and generally stressing out.

Anyway, my boyfriend is coming in town to visit early tomorrow morning, and as of tonight my room was a wreck. I'm still getting moved into my new place, so I had boxes to unpack and such. I spent a few hours unpacking and cleaning, and in the past hour or so I started to notice a little pain in my lower left leg. Nothing too severe at first. But then I started to notice it more - for example I climbed up on my bed to reach a shelf, and when I climbed back down I felt a sharp stab of pain in my leg that made me yelp. It kept getting worse from there - 10 minutes later I went downstairs to get water, and it was excruciating. I barely made it back up the stairs again. Now I can't walk without a limp. I've taken aspirin and am laying in bed now.

It doesn't feel like muscle soreness - it feels like an injury, like a pulled or torn muscle. But I don't see how that could be! I've done nothing strenuous to my leg tonight at all - just some moving around as I cleaned up the place. I'm supposed to head out to meet my boyfriend at the airport early tomorrow morning, but now I'm not sure if I'll be able to, as the route involves quite a bit of walking and multiple types of public transit (which involves stairs).

I can't really describe the pain... I guess it's on my calf, and it feels more like the outer side of my calf, though honestly my whole lower leg just feels like a ball of pain. Even as I'm just sitting here it is throbbing. Any idea what I could possibly have done to it or how bad it might be? I'm just very confused, and upset because my boyfriend and I have plans all weekend and I need to be able to walk!

Your calf might have cramped up, causing a tear. It's best to see a doctor for a proper diagnosis of course.
I would walk with an ankle brace (hard boot type, not soft). Pharmacies & medical supply stores sell them.

Is your leg swelling at all? Does it hurt when you move it or all the time?

    Is touching it painful?
