Weightloss goals

I have just read a article in the help section and it says: 'We ask for your goal weight when you create your profile, but this is only for purposes of reporting how many pounds remain until you meet your goal. Your goal weight does not affect our calorie calculations.'

So do myfitnesspal not create weight loss goals based on your height, weight and what your goal weight is?

I have so far followed the 1200 daily calorie goal and that has helped me to lose 18 pounds, but now I am stuck not realizing before that it wasn't actually calculating in order for me to get down to my desired weight.
How can i go about physically reaching my weight loss goal?

It calculates your goal based on the weekly weight loss goal you give it not the total goal. Did you tell it 2lbs a week? That's not really a sustainable amount if you are not obese. Tell it 0.5 to 1lbs a week and you might break your plateau.

Define "stuck"—and how certain are you that you're eating 1200 calories a day?
