Hello my name's Beth and I live in North Pole, Alaska and if I were smart I would be going into hibernation or migrating south right now! Alas I'm human therefore "above" the forces of nature I must brave the - 60 temps and endless nights without succumbing to cabin fever and freakish binge eating. I've got 52 more lbs. to lose before I reach my ideal weight so I came to myfitnesspal for encouragement.

I hope to gain some good friends and experiences on here! Thank you everyone for your stories, pictures and opinions. I really appreciate this whole collaborative effort towards achieving better fitness!
