A couple of helpful tips

I use a couple of techniques when I feel like getting something to eat. It has helped me cut down on the snacks, helped reduce my daily calorie intake.
1. Well known, tried and tested. The signals that your body sends out when you are hungry are exactly the same as those when you are dehydrated. So before you eat, drink a glass of water and see if the hunger pangs diminish.
If they do't then....
2. Measure your hunger on a scale of 1 -10. Anything below 6 (for me) means I can wait for another hour before repeating step 1. 7 or 8 means a small nibble, and above that means I can eat properly.
