weight of meats

Do you calculate calories on meat according to the weight before or after it's cooked?

Mine, AFTER it's cooked but I look for the appropriate USDA values for COOKED meat.

I often cook up multiple pieces of chicken at one time, so there isn't really a way for me to weigh each piece before I cook it and remember which piece was what/weighed what.

Usually I only measure something raw if it's ground meat for a recipe where it can't be weighed after.

Both work, before is more accurate, but as long as you use the appropriate entry, it's not a big deal.

I weigh it raw, since the package only gives calories raw. I cook for my family and usually use it in a combination, so its impossible to weigh afterwards. I'm fairly sure all of my meat calories are overestimated.

I do both. When I am making a stir fry, which I make a lot of, or stew, soup, etc, I weigh everything raw and use the macros for raw. If I am making a roast or say a turkey like today,I will weigh it cooked and use the macros for it cooked. The same if I make chicken parm or similar, I weigh it cooked and use the same amount of cheese and sauce for each piece so I can figure it out. It probably isn't perfect, but oh well.
