NSV- Skinny jean shopping

The title- 'nuff said, right? Haha!
I went shopping for my first pair of skinny jeans yesterday. Normally I don't like them, but I need to be able to tuck them into my boots and regular jeans are so much harder to do that.
Well, every single pair I tried on buttoned with NO problem! My calves are big since I'm a runner and genetically predisposed to larger calves, but they all fit. In women's, I had a hard time finding ones that would fit because the size 6's were all too loose and there weren't a lot of 4's. In the juniors section, I fit the size 5'!
I've been in size 6's for so long that I was so surprised
It might sound silly, but since I don't loose lbs quickly, it's a big deal to me to be able to see how my body is changing, even if the scale isn't.

Awesome work!! Wear those jeans proud!!!!!
I have the same issue with calves. My whole body seems to be weird when it comes to fitting clothing.. I can't wear skinny jeans as the calve is soo tight and the thigh is loose... Can't wear boots either.. My bust fits a size 18 but my waist is listed as a size 8 so it's like... WHAT SIZE DO I PICK >.< Maybe they just don't make clothing right =/ i'm gonna go with that so i'm happier about my body haha Keep up the amazing work!!0 -
Great job! I think with any body type it can be difficult to find clothes that fit like a glove. I have a friend in which EVERYTHING she wears looks good on her. I asked her one time how she does it. She said she tailors her own clothes to fit her. I don't have the knowledge or desire to do this for myself, but it just shows how anybody can look good in clothes that properly fit them. And I do feel your pain with pants shopping, especially skinny jeans shopping...which is why I barely do it! I have muscular legs with a bit of fat still on them, but hopefully soon that fat layer will be a bit less!! :bigsmile:0

Yes! My waist is a lot smaller in proportion than my thighs, but the calves are the worst. I just hate when you bend over and then your butt is hanging out. I should get the waist taken in, but I know I'd never get around to doing it. I did find a few brands that fit- Old Navy had some that were higher on the waist so it didn't gap and so did Kohl's.0
