No More Excuses -- Week 40

Looks like a pretty good week for the group overall, a couple people went on vacation and enjoyed themselves, otherwise the rest of us seemed to all be going in the right direction.
Yours truly wins biggest loser honors and AEHenson takes the runner up slot.
My weekly challenge is simple, record all your food and exercise in MFP, and click the "Complete this Entry" when you are done. ,
AEHenson......tell us what your challenge is.
I think about 90% of my weight loss was attributed to me controlling my sodium intake, now that I am eating right again. I have about chicken and turkey'd myself to death this last week, but my exercise has been a little more lax that normal. I am going to try to hit the gym hard this week.
So for anyone who wants to join...........1st off Welcome!!!!!!!
During your 1st week in the group, send me your starting weight, last Sunday's weight, and this week's Sunday weigh in. All information must be sent to me by noon Central on Monday. All subsequent week's you just have to give me your current weight from Sunday by noon on Monday.

My challenge is to cut out 2 hours of t.v. this week. If you don't watch that much, great. But if you do........you know it's a diet/exercise downfall most of the time!0

I can barely move today. Played slowpitch at our local fair yesturday. My arms ache, my legs are like dead weight, and my sides are killing me. Haven't been eating the greatest, but will get back at it tomorrow. Won't be walking or nothing today since I can barely move.

I am surely going to start logging food this week. I haven't done that in a while and I think that is why I am struggling. Sodium is my downfall too. I can cut out 2 hours of tv okay - not much on anymore anyway.
I hope to lose my vacation pounds this week.

Okay.....I am getting frustrated...... I have got to make some changes. I am sick of not making progress. Sorry I am venting!!!!! I know it is all relative to my eating and not the exercise however that is going to start getting tougher as well, I keep "blaming" it on different things and I have got to stop it!!!!
I am going to start following the same stuff I did with weight watchers which seemed to work.. Okay.....enough talking and down to business......0 -

I agree! I've been stuck in about a 5 lb range for several months. In the meantime, my exercising has increased significantly. Okay, I know I've let myself eat a bit more, but, I didn't think I'd get stuck like I have.
First 40 lbs were pretty easy. Since then, another 5, then, stopped losing weight. I was okay with that for a while, now it's getting a bit frustrating.
Yeah, I need to log my food again (thanks for the challenge to get back to what I know I SHOULD do). I need to drink more water, but hey, why can't I just lose the weight?

I get depressed when I gain weight. So I have a few drinks and feel happy again for a short time. Then the next morning I am up on the scales and get depressed all over again. I did well for a while and now i am either staying the same or gaining.
I must get my motivation back. NO MORE EXCUSES!!!
Starting over today. No booze for 2 weeks - This weekend coming up should be easy. I am going to visit my mother to tour old houses in her town and she doesn't drink and doesn't have alcohol in the house. I am hoping this will kick start me.
Hopefully the weather breaks soon so I can start moving more again.Oh Oh that sounds like an excuse. Off to plan my menu for today and perhaps for tomorrow. Thanks for letting me vent!!!

Good morning team!!!! Sounds like a few of us needed to vent at ourselves!!! Glad today is a new day and here we all go. I have my calories set at 1200 and then of course my exercise calories. today is going to be no sweets...I hope!!!!
Off to finish my log from yesterday. Had to do all that exercise because my eating was out of control. Not going to happen today!!!!0 -
Hi all...I am back on the wagon today. I actually went to the gym. It felt so funny. I probably haven't been once all summer. I had softball practice and I really struggled to run without passing out. I hate that I let myself get this out of shape again. It is such a nasty cycle. I want to be one of the people who start exercising and don't quit!! I am going to log all my food this week and exercise at least 3 days. I very rarely watch TV so that won't be difficult for me. I just have to get back into a routine. It sounds like a lot of us are having the same problem this summer. Congrats to the losers!0

Thanks for the chart Jack. I am out of pocket all this week due to 2011 budget planning here at work. Doing my best to eat right, but the long days are making it really difficult.
I will be back on track next week.

Good morning team!!!
So....this week again not going that well. Yesterday I got a scare!!!! Had to take my 14 year old to the dr because he called and said he could feel his heart skip a beat. They determined he has PVC's...Premature Ventricular Contractions. Big term for irregular heart beat. He had blood work done, and an ekg. All came back with in normal, except they did catch one little thing on the ekg so now we are waiting to get the appt with a cardiologist. Hopefully within the next couple of days. They pulled him from football, and I'm glad the dr did so Mom didn't have too .......until we figure out that it really is okay. I am of course praying that it is all part of a growing boy!!!! However,,,,,we do have 3 others and none of them went through this!
Anyway....the eating has not been regular but am trying!!!!
Off to a hugely busy day!!!! See ya later!

Just a quick hello. I'm trying to get my work done a little early today so we can go to the lake for a couple of hours. Softball has started for me, soccer is starting for my boys and school starts back Monday, so it is back to the crazy life for us but I love it. I know I will miss it when they are grown. Hope you all have a safe and restful weekend.0

Happy Friday everyone. Diet has been going fair this week, I got a major case of the munchies yesterday and could not stop eating. Doing better today, I think the scale will be going the right direction again this week. The diet and exercise do not seem to be any easier this go around. Things I was doing all the time before with ease are not difficult and leave me with sore muscles.
Looking forward to the weekend, we have a family we met on a cruise flying in from the east coast, and our kids have no idea. Should be fun to see how excited they get. Lots and lots of weekend activities planned.0 -

Well I have said this before, but today I am back at it - my birthday is this week so I decided today is the new start. I have really fallen off the wagon excersice wise and eating wise. Today I am starting the 30 day shred, and will try to get on treadmill or out walking 3 times a week. I am going to try to do 30 day shred every day or at least Mon -Fri. I am taking new measurements, and hopefully I can get back on track. I am going to revise my goals, and hopefully this time stick to them.0

Well I didnt think I was that out of shape until I went to do 30 day shred yest - it killed me - did day 2 today and wasn't so bad - i am hoping to do everyday for the 30 days, but might miss a day if we are not home - hoping to go camping this weekend for one last time - think I got my head on straight again, and I am ready to do this - busy with books today, and prob golfing tomorrow0

Just a quick hello while breaking from typing. Boys went back to school today and the house is too quiet. It takes me a while to readjust to them being gone. I am back on the wagon today. I am also going to take new measurements and get back on track with Renae. Hope you all have a happy day.0
