My Journey Thus Far

I’ve been training since the beginning of January, joining MFP early February. This all started realizing that diabetes was in my cards as well as likely cardiovascular problems sometime in my future, not only because of my lifestyle, but genetics. I was rockin’ 230lbs and exercised sporadically. By sporadic I mean almost never.
At the start of the year I was wearing 38 pants, XL shirts and again, weighed 230lbs. At the moment I’m going to be buying 30/32s in Vegas later this week at the outlets because my 33s are too big for me. I have a barrage of large shirts in my wardrobe that are huge on me, so I’m slowly building up my mediums. And I currently weigh 175lbs (likely plus a couple after my weekend in Vegas starting Thursday )
If you don’t know what the hell you’re doing (like me), ask someone. I’m going to give a couple should outs to the people that have really given me insight in my training and if they want to post their MFP names by all means, I just wanted to respect their privacy. But to the original JQ, Kyle, Ginger’s Man and Naomi, thank you. To everyone else on my FL, you guys rock and kick *kitten* every day and I appreciate all of you.
Life is a journey. If you're not willing to change or adapt, then I'm afraid you’re going to be doomed. My understanding of a lot has changed. I’ve blown through my weight loss goal of 190 and 180. The truth is, it’s not easy. It was never meant to be. My girl JQ posted on this in her blog, If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. Hard is what makes it great. And that’s the truth. People think there’s a recipe or some 10 minute plan for weight loss. There isn’t. If you’re not willing to bust you *kitten* and be discipline, then really why start? You’re just setting yourself up for failure. I’m not trying to be harsh, that’s just the reality.
