Anyone on Slimming World?

I'm about to ease into Slimming World (I say ease because today is Thanksgiving and in addition to copious lamb and pie, I can't buy healthy food 'til tomorrow night). Anyone else here ever tried it out? I heard of it through a blogger I follow and she's had tremendous success after only 3 weeks.
Since the website doesn't much help in terms of WHAT it is, this blog post is good if you're like me and had an impossible time finding detailed info before signing up (ps - not the blogger I was talking about):

TLDR:
Basically, unlimited lean meats, veggies, fruits, eggs, FF yogurts, and - get this - pasta, rice, and potatoes. It' the latter that interests me.
In exchange, you eat ONE serving each of dairy product and bread/grains/cereals. The only thing I love more than carbs is cheese so this will be hard.
Finally, you get a system similar to WW for the rest of your food - Syn Points. I think the amount of Syns vary with you you are, but the example used is if you get 10 Syn points a day, you can use 6 on a chocolate bar, and so on.
There are also a lot of neat recipes on there, not that I'm much a cooker, but if it means I can eat a heap of potatoes, I'm in.
Just thought I'd see if anyone has done it or if there is anyone who would like to be my SW pal. I'm Canadian so I won't be going to meetings sadly.
