Hi! While I'm not totally new to MFP, I'm new to the boards and would love to have some friends for motivation and support!
A bit about me: I'm 35, 5'3", 141 lbs. While I'd like to lose 10 more pounds, I'm less concerned with the scale number and more about how I look and feel. A few years ago, after recovering from a decade-and-a-half long eating disorder, my weight swung a bit too far the other way. I really wanted to lose the excess weight the right way. I have two kids and I realized that I didn't want to teach them the same poor relationship with food and my body that I always had. In Feb of this year, I joined the Muay Thai classes at the Martial Arts club my kids attend, and fell in love. In June, I started doing Kung Fu as well. I train 4-6 days a week now, and I've never felt better. I've decided to add weight training into the mix a few days a week now...starting after this thanksgiving weekend is over, of course.
Hope to meet some of you soon!
