Exercise Recovery

I know that recovery after exercise is very important, but I'm not really sure what I should be doing. As of right now I'm just stretching. So, I was wondering what should I be doing or eating after exercise for a proper recovery?
Thanks in advance!

I'm doing ChaLEAN Extreme, it involves heavy weights so I use be-BUFF after I workout. Its a supplement for women that only has 100 calories per scoop and I do some extra stretching but you don't need to use supplements, you could eat some cottage cheese or drink a glass of milk.0

Thanks to the OP and thanks to the above quoted post...I have been wondering this lately, as I have seriously bumped my exercise and have started interval training...I will be looking to start some serious strength training soon...
Thanks again :flowerforyou:0
