Your opinions on the health calc calculator

Hi

This is my first post!

I am trying to find out the best way to calculate my very varied TDEE (I train between 0 and 10 hours per week). I prefer working day to day and fuelling as necessary.

I just wanted to know if you think this calculator is accurate for you.

It seems to be the best one out there so far.

Thanks in advance!

Tried the calculator - it was miles off, over by about 500 cals.

IMO the best way is to work out your actual TDEE is from your results and not from calculators.

Knowing your TDEE isn't really that useful though if you are eating back exercise calories on a daily basis. I'm a cyclist as well so although I'm exercising most days (alternate days strength and cardio) and my weekly burn is fairly consistent around 5,500 it varies enormously from day to day.

if your training varies that much, use MFP, then you can just eat back exercise cals on the days you work out.

I found that calc from off of GoKaleo and I like it. When I do running I have a hard time deciding between moderate and light exercise because of my heart rate, but overall t has worked for me.
