My weight fluctuates so much in a week or even a day. I drink ALOT of liquid. I dont urinate that much. My left leg seems to be swollen alot more then usual.
I was thinking about asking the dr if a diuretic would help. I however have very low blood pressure and run alot in very hot weathers so...Any info?

Definitely ask your doctor, he'll surely have some healthy suggestions for you!
  • Hi Coronalime,

I am a medical student, and diuretics can be dangerous if not monitored. They can deplete needed electrolytes such as potassium and sodium necessary for proper organ function. If you are having an issue with a severely swollen leg, this can be indicative of serious health problems, I suggest you see your doctor soon.

I agree. See your doctor. There are different conditions that could cause this problem that would not be treated with diuretics. I do take diuretics for blood pressure control but when I miss a dose and I take in too much sodium both of my feet or both of my hands swell with fluid retention, never just one side.:flowerforyou:
