New and Lost

Hello,
I am new to this site and really to this whole process of message boards. Please forgive any mistakes.
I am 34 and and feel lost in the whole weight loss world, I have tried everything and stuck with nothing. I do not have any support in my home for my weight loss and I think that is what starts my failure. Don't get me wrong I know i am the only person responsible for my weight-loss but I do not have strong self control and in the end that's what happens, I give up and break down.
I know I want to lose weight and I know I need to lose weight I just don't know how to lose weight. Does that make me sound stupid? I need help and don't know where to start. I am 5'4 245lbs female, I carry a large portion of my weight in my mid section. When it comes to exercise I really like to ride a stationary bike, I hate the treadmill I get so bored I quit after ten minutes.
Is there anyone here who can relate? I think if I just had someone to talk to it wold help greatly.
I look forward to any and all replies!
Thank you
Amy

Hi Amy!
I was new once too, I'm still elarning stuff about this site everyday. Have you joined a gym? You don't have to, to lose weight, but that's where I met a few of my friends who are super supportive of me and help me. I go to zumba classes and body pump classes and am friendly with the instructors. if I have questions I ask and they help me. I too have tried, Weight Watchers, South beach Diet, Dash Diet and many many more. Now I honestly eat what I always ate, just modified. For example if I used heavy cream, I see if I can substitute yogurt or half & half for it.
Don't give up!!! Add random people to be your friends on MFP, they'll help keep you motivated too.
