(Hope I'm in the right place.)
Hi! I've been looking into taking a B5 suppliment. The only thing I'm worried about is that most suppliments I found are 250-500mg, and the reccomended amount is 5mg...am I missing something or is that too much? I'm hoping someone can help clear this up for me.

yes the recommended daily amount is 5 mg, however.....wikipedia says
"Toxicity of pantothenic acid is unlikely. In fact, no Tolerable Upper Level Intake (UL) has been established for the vitamin.[17] Large doses of the vitamin, when ingested, have no reported side effects and massive doses (e.g., 10 g/day) may only yield mild intestinal distress, and diarrhea at worst.[8] It has been suggested, however, that high doses of pantothenic acid might worsen panic attacks in those with panic disorder by prolonging the duration until adrenal exhaustion."
