Hi guys! This is my first day here. I'm just wondering how closely you follow the calories/carbs/fat/protein/sodium/sugar recommendations that myfitnesspal gives you. According to mine, I still have about 300 calories to spare (more if I work out some more tonight) but I've gone a little over on my fat/protein/sodium and sugar.
Also, are the "calories burned" from exercise pretty accurate?
Thanks!!

First, the calories burned from exercise are not always accurate. If you have a HRM with your stats put into it, it should be more accurate. Otherwise, only eat back about 50-60% of the calories that MFP says that you burn. You may have to experiment with it a bit.
As far as your macros (protein, carbs, fat, sugar), just focus on your calories. If you stay under on your calories, you will be fine. As long as you feel good and are under your calories, you will lose weight. Good luck!0 -
Thanks for the clarification! I was surprised when it was so high. It said I burned almost 900 cals with just 30 mins on the elliptical + 20 minute walk...
Thank you! And good luck to you too!0
