Is it appropriate to wear leggings only for work out?

Because the leggings are so tight, I felt that I need to wear one more layer, like yoga "pants" over the leggings.
but at the same time, it is too much.. wearing two bottoms for work out.
Is it appropriate to wear legging for work out in the gym? I rarely go out to run.

Yes, as long as they're not see-through. I work out in leggins.0

All the girls at my gym wear leggings without anything on top. It's pretty normal I think! You can get special ones designed for working out. Although they're way more expensive than a regular pair of cotton leggings, they last for longer, make your legs/butt look nicer and are nice and thick (not see through).
EDIT: I mean to say, they wear leggings only, but they do wear shirts! Obviously. It is not a topless gym.0 -

I've seen women wear regular leggings, and just wear a pair of work out shorts over the top. I've also heard of people doubling up on the pants, because they want to minimise "jiggling" etc. As long as you feel comfortable wearing it, and they're appropriate for public view - go for it0
