Treadmill/Elypitcal equipment: Any Suggestions

My wife and I have decided to buy some home gym equipment instead of maintaining a gym membership. We are stil undecided between a treadmill and/or elyptical machine. Any recommendations for good brand/model thats good quality but won't necessarily bust the bank. Maybe in the $2000K range. I am more apt to spent a little more for something more durable and powerful; granted we aren't marathon runners. Just want a piece of equipment that will last. Thanks
