Bodypump good if you have a lot to lose?

Hi, I'm wondering if trying bodypump classes would be good for me or if I should try something else? I'm really out of shape... Will bodypump be good for someone who has 50+ pounds to lose?

Please forgive me if this has been discussed previously...

Bodypump is awesome. It's cardio but it also works your muscles, as long as you use challenging weights. I did it for 6 months, just got recently tired with it.

Its a fun class! I had tried it my first time about a month ago, I went super heavy not knowing what the class was about! I almost died, but probably one of the best classes if your new to weights. Just don't go to heavy like I did. I still take the classes now! Fun!

I LOVE my body pump class, I used to go twice a week but cut back to once and now that I'm going twice a week again I'm seeing a huge improvement

I have over 70pds to lose and have been doing body pump as part of my gym routine. It's great! Just keep in mind that you don't have to put any weight on the bar initially, it's really important when lifting weights to have the right form, posture and movement, so start light and work your way up, and enjoy!
