I noticed you joined this month, is this something you do everyday and have before you joined? It takes time to lose weight. It matters most that food that's eaten is healthy, then excercise comes 2nd. :)

So you walked for 6 hours straight in your target Heart Rate Zone and burned 1000 cals today? Guess I'm confused a bit, could you give us a few more details to help you out?

Be patient, I know it's easier said than done but it takes time. Sometimes you may even see a gain before a loss. Also, make sure you're eating enough calories.

Don't get discouraged. Are you keeping an accurate account of the food you are eating? I had no idea how much or little I was eating, and I was fluxing between too much and too little. Your persistance will pay off. Keep it up.

Are you going by what MFP says you burned and eating back those calories? It may not be accurate for your body. I recommend getting a heart rate monitor and going by what that tells you (if you are doing low heart rate exercise be sure to subtract your base calories from that # ... ie, you work out an hour you burn 250 cals, but usually you burn 100 an hour w/out working out - those 100 are already accounted for in your calorie allotment - so you only log 150 EXTRA. (note, I dont subtract when doing high cardio, because the following hours after stopping my heart rate stays up and burns enough to make up for not subtracting. Low cardio like walking does not keep my heart rate up after when I stop.)

So, short point : you might be overestimating your calorie burn and unknowingly overeating. Get a heart rate monitory. Polar F6 is the general favorite across the boards. Then learn to use it accurately. Be consistent. Eat your exercise cals. Lose weight. :)

Don't stop walking. Many other benefits besides weight loss.

A lot depends on your diet too.
