Lunch NSV

Today at lunch, my building is doing an "Appreciation Day" and they are handing out popcorn, candy, soda, hamburgers and chips. In addition, we also had a birthday in my department so someone brought in red velvet cake. I had a tiny slice of cake because it was served at our meeting and I felt obligated to partake while everyone else had a huge slice. After the meeting, everyone else went to the other free food and I am proud of myself that I went and ate a veggie salad.

I knew that if I went for the hamburger, i would have gotten cheese, chips, soda, the whole shabang and I would have blown all of my calories in one sitting. It was difficult but I know I feel better now than how I would have felt after eating all that junk.

That is great! I dont know if I could have had THAT much willpower (my weakness happens to be Red Velvet Cake) BUT this post did inspire me to share my Lunch NSV: Going to Subway and NOT getting a cookie. Yep feeling pretty good about that right now. :)
