Not losing weight on diet and exercise

Hi All,
I have a question about losing weight. I am eating 1000 net calories 5 days/week (eating-exercise). And 2 days a week, I eat only 600 calories (5:2 diet). I walk or elliptical for 1 hr for 4 days/week.
But not losing weight. I lose about a pound mid week and start next week, I am back to my original weight. I thought I might be overeating, but I do log my calories and they seem ok.
Can someone help why this would be happening.
I appreciate any help.

You may not be eating enough so your body is storing what ever you eat after your fast day as fat. Up your calories. Also give more info. Age, height weight goal weight0

She posted what I was thinking ^^
How long have you been eating this diet and doing this exact exercise regimen? And what caused you to cut calories to 1000 or less net?0 -

It is not possible for a normal size human body to eat that little and not lose weight. If you are not losing weight, you are eating significantly more than you believe you are.
Your first step needs to be an accurate log of what you actually eat.0 -
You're doing it wrong. Read this:

Thanks, I read somewhere that men should eat over 1500, so I eat about 1700 calories on 5 days. I am 34, 5' 8''. I am 157 lb and want to get to 145 lb.0 -
Your eating more than you think. Check how you're weighing and measuring your food0

I do eat about 1700 - 400 exercise= 1300. My daily intake should be 2300 calories. So I am eating 1000 calories less. Doing it from 6 weeks. but didnt see much change in weight,0

You have a choice - you can believe the body runs on the same physical laws that run the universe, or you can believe it runs on pixie dust sprinkled by fairies singing "It's A Small World."
If you haven't lost weight in six weeks, then you aren't running a caloric deficit. The only question is why there is a mismatch between the actual deficit and the deficit you believe you have. Most common reasons are incorrect logging and over-estimating exercise burn (ie, eating back too many calories).0 -

I'm a 5'7 130lb female and I eat more than 1300 calories a day.
Are you logging your food and exercise accurately?

Read the link provided for you and read all of the links in it.0

My understanding of the 5:2 fasting plan would have you eating 600 calories 2 days a week and your maintenance levels the other 5. If you intend to continue on this plan you may want to read up on it and make sure you're following a healthy routine.0

Hi, I think it sounds like perhaps could be a logging issue.... do you use a food scale in the kitchen? Accuracy is essential when calorie counting.
Good luck.0 -
