New and Have a Question

Good Morning!
My name is Tiffanie and I use MFP on and off but am looking to start and stay with it but here is my question. I see that when I complete a work out I am to add that to MFP and when I do it provides me with more calories but doesn't that defeat the purpose of working out because I am eating what I just burned?
Any help would be appreciated.
