Hello from Japan!

Hello!

I've been using Myfitnesspal on and off for a while now, but this is the first time I've been to the forums.

Anyway, I am a 23 year old female living in rural Japan -- I don't have much weight to lose, mostly looking to maintain and shed the last 5 pounds. I've only been here for a few months and have been having difficulties adjusting to the diet. I just joined the Big In Japan group, but it doesn't seem very active.

So, hey! Any tips for weight maintaining in Japan would be appreciated, as would commiseration over the prices of fruit. There is much more temptation here than I thought (so many new snacks to try, ice cream flavours and have I mentioned the pumpkin flavored kitkat bars yet?).
