I am just starting on MFP. I have done it off and on for awhile, but am ready to go for it. I lost 25 pounds last year and kept it off for almost a year. Quit smoking in March (yea!) and managed to gain about 12 back - but I was okay with it, because quitting was worth it. Now I'm feeling so good about myself that I'm ready to get healthy. I've been exercising (mostly power walking) and trying to eat healthy. I've lost over 4 pounds in 5 weeks (including a week in Colorado where I didn't worry about the eating.) I'm 52, so I know I'm not going to lose this weight quickly, and I'm perfectly okay with that. My main focus is to be/get healthy and eat a much more healthy diet. I plan on tracking my weight some days, but probably not all the time. Is that allowed??? I quit smoking by being part of a forum, and I'm hoping being part of a forum will help with my weight loss.
Looking forward to being part of the group and meeting more people!
