    ~Breast Cancer doesn't discriminate! Sister, Mother, Aunt, Grandmother, Friend, Daughter~

    ... brother, father, uncle, grandfather ...

    (My point: it's a lot rarer - but men can get breast cancer too.)

    As for testicular cancer month, the Ancient Greek for testes is 'orchis'. (Orchid roots look like a pair of balls - hence the genus name. Botanists are not always very high-brow.)

    My thoughts to all of you who have been affected by breast cancer.

    Breast cancer is not about breasts. It's about a horrible, evil disease that kills. I'm glad there's awareness, but be aware THERE IS NO CURE. It's not funny. It's not sexual. It's a deadly disease that has claimed too many lives.

    I wish there was as much awareness for testicular cancer... Testicles need love too!

    next time i'll be sure not to try to lighten the mood a bit on such a horrible disease.

    Edit: yes there is no cure, hence why raising awareness and helping to the fight to FIND a cure is important.

    I had my very first mammogram last week. Happy to say I'm all clear! Grandmother had and beat breast cancer at 89 years old! :heart:
