Going over on carbs and protein

When it comes to carbs and protein, I consistantly go over my limit on both by about 20. I usually stay within my limit on cals and fat. What can this be doing to my body?

I do exercise...hiking 30 mins twice a week and using a weighted jumping rope 30 mins three times a week, but other than that I'm pretty inactive during the day because I have a desk job, although I do walk around the factory about an hour a day when I'm looking for people. I gave up paging people so I could get in more steps everyday. Oops...sorry, I ramble!
