Hi y'all,

I'm looking at running and wanted to know if anyone has recommendation of the best running shoes. I currently have Livestrong, but I need new shoes.

I appreciate your opinions :)

Thanks!!

It really depends on your feet. High arches, low arches, overpronate, pronate, minimalist, neutral, etc.

If you go to a real running store they will be able to tell you. A real running store! Not a big box sports store where the employees are just thrown into a dept.

The best running shoes are the ones that are correctly fitted for your feet and your running gait. Go to a running store and get an analysis done.
  • Thanks for the information. This will be a good start for me.
  • I appreciate your suggestion. I will follow up with a local running store.

Agreed with going to a running store. I did pick my first pair of shoes without being fitted, and they did fine for me. But, I was a very casual runner, usually no more than 5 miles per week. As I've started running more, I can definitely tell that these shoes aren't as perfect for me as they would've been had I been fitted. My next pair (which I need to buy soon), I will be going to a professional.
