Balancing Carbs/Fat/Protein

What does everyone average for their pie chart breakdown?

My goal settings are 40% Carbs, 20% Fat, 40% Protein.

Is that even right?

I can't seem to get close no matter how well I try to balance/eat....

My weekly average tends to be 52% Carbs, 29% Fat, and 19% Protein.

EEKS!

Suggestions?! :)

  • Well it tells me to balance 55% carbs, 30% fat and 15% protein.
    I'm usually pretty close to that. Sometimes more protein and less fat.
    Sometimes more or less carbs. Really depends on the day, but I'm generally pretty close to those.
  • Percentages don't really matter. It's all about hitting fat and protein minimums and then just make up the rest. Here is a great way to work out what you need in regards to fats and protein.

  • Oh! If I went by that guideline TheMelephant, I'd be rocking it! I think I changed from guided to custom settings for that at some point, because I was taking a nutrition class at the time that taught another method. Maybe I need to swap it back -- can't find where to do it now though! Shoot.
