Just discovered LCHF

My husband has terrible IBS which affects his life. He tried the high fibre stuff from the doctors but it made him worse and he didn't fancy a life of pill popping so we looked around for other methods of controlling his condition. We discovered the LCHF diet and although we only started it 5 days ago the early results are amazing. His stomach is much better even though we don't do it strictly as we allow ourselves two slices of toast for supper each day (can't give up processed carbs completely yet lol).
I read all the info about how it works but I I couldn't shake the idea that lots of fat would lead to a massive weight gain. With this in mind I stepped on the scales to find that I'd lost 5lbs!!! This is amazing as far as I'm concerned because I usually have to starve to lose weight which is why I never succeed. Who'd have thought there was a way of eating that allowed you to eat when you're hungry or let you have a big steak and small salad rather than a minuscule steak and giant salad.
Of course being new to this way of eating means I'm going to soon run out of meal ideas so any advice and support from other LCHF dieters/supporters would be greatly appreciated. I tried the oopsie bread but tbh found it revolting so that's out lol.

It has worked for me in the past. So I am back.
I don't know how I strayed so far away from it. But after a meniscus tear, I have been sidelined from the gym so I'm not burning the 500-700 calories a day that I used to. I am working out with a physical therapist using some pilates training to help me realign my body and strengthen my healing knee, and it is challenging work, but it's not high cardio by any means.
I need the belly shrinking that I have seen happen when I lower carbs and raise my fat intake. So, here I go!
By the way, you are asking the right questions. Recipe swapping is very helpful to keep you from getting bored eating LCHF. Search for "oopsie" bread. I found it a lifesaver!0
