How are your 2013 goals going? I achieved one!!

I'm so excited right now, I just achieved another one of my annual goals. I ran 10K this morning in less than 75 minutes! 73:01 for 10.04 km to be exact (according to my TomTom watch anyway and that is what we're going with). I'm stoked! I wasn't even trying as such, I just got the watch and have been playing around with the different information for the last week. Decided to just run by heart rate todayy. Got halfway through and realised I was on track for a sub 75 so then I just kept pushing. And I did it, even though I had to duck around strollers etc and wait at a red light as well.
Got me thinking. I set a fair amount of goals back in January and I'm proud to say I've either achieved or am closer to achieving all of them. Some of them are on my profile here and some are just on a post-it attached to my bedstand.
These were/are my goals:
- Complete a half marathon. I've done 2, one in March 2:52 and one in October 2:47 (coming off a 4 week break due to injuries).
- Run 10K sub 75 minutes. Aciheved today!
- Run 1000km during 2013. Sitting at 780 km just now so a little bit off track but still likely to achieve.
- Do unassisted headstand (sirsasana A). This is happening on my first go 9/10 times. From being in dolphin at the beginning of the year (as in, could not lift my toes a centimeter off the ground). Starting to look at B....
- Do urdhva danurasana (wheel pose). Achieved this back in February and am now hoping to come back up to standing unassisted by Christmas.
- Do 25 proper push-ups. In progress, I've not tried for a while but I could do around 16 a few months ago. Can probably do a few more now.
- Have a normal BMI (weigh 77 kg or less): this is the big one, and it's been off track for a little while since I gained a bit over summer so I now need to lose 17kg which is unlikely to happen. I am however down 17kg from the beginning of the year, so half way there!
What are your goals for the year and how are you getting on with them? Any stretch goals?

Wow, you are making phenomenal progress! Congrats! I didn't actually set specific goals like you did at the beginning of 2013, but I did make that the time when I changed my entire lifestyle. I joined a gym, hired a trainer, started logging everything I ate and drank, took up shadowboxing, stopped watching so much TV, and much much more. I couldn't even set a goal weight in my head because it just seemed so overwhelming and impossible. Now, however, over nine months later, I've lost 60 lbs and have even started lifting weights. I also now have three major goals I want to accomplish before the end of this year: (1) I want to lose 11 more pounds, which will put me at the weight at which my doctor said he would no longer be concerned about me, (1) I want to increase my deadlifts to over 75 kg (I'm at 67.5 kg right now) because that's how much my trainer (a very small female) can lift and I want to be able to outlift her, and (3) I want to be able to hold a plank with good form for two minutes (last time I timed myself, in July, I was at one minute max, but I've done a LOT of core work since then). Good luck to both of us (and everyone else who posts in this thread) in achieving our goals!0

After a crappy 2012, My new years resolution was to feel great about myself and to fit this ridiculously gorgeous dress. What started out as to fit my dress turned out to be a life changing point in my life. I want to be fit, I want to be healthy. I want to inspire my family and so on.
I've lost 8-9 KG so far, 17-19 lbs, and I've achieved it, losing weight the healthy way and to keep on reducing.0 -
