Hello!
How have you been doing?
I am doing very well lately, managed to drop 10 lbs since August. For me, losing weight is slow because I have a condition called lipedema.
I wonder, does anyone here have it too? I hope I am not alone!

Hi, I was just diagnosed with lipedema a little over a month ago. Unfortunately, I'm already in Stage 3 - it took years for me to get a proper diagnosis, but I'm hopeful that with the compression therapy and MLD therapy along with big changes in my diet that I'll have sure albeit slow success.0

Hi,
I also have lipedema, and am trying to lose weight-it's slow going! I am in the process of finding a specialist for MLD therapy and the compression garments. Anyone have any weight loss success with this diagnosis ? I am determined to stay positive!0 -
For years I have battled gaining weight in my lower extremities.. I'll be 40 this year .. I have 4 kids (youngest is 13) had a gastric bypass in 03 mainly because of my lower body weight. I eat small healthy meals and work out 4-5x a week. I have recently been diagnosed with lipedema (2 weeks ago) and it's very depressing. For years I eat right and work out .. I've even been treated for malnutrition and had iron infusions thinking it was my food/calorie intake. It's painful physically and emotionally.. Legs hurt and look disproportionate.. I'm due to see a vascular dr soon .. Let's see what happens I guess. FYI many Drs aren't familiar w this diagnosis.. So I'm learning as I go1

Hi! Lipedema sister here. We were diagnosed around he same time. If you aren't on Facebook, get on it, and search for Lipedema Sisters group. The support you'll get helps to alleviate the depression and stigma. Many of us are pursuing Ketogenic wats of eating, and/or Dr Fung's LCHF/IF (low card high fat/intermittent fasting) protocol will varying degrees of success with weightloss but improvements in pain, inflammation, etc. You're not alone!0
