Love Black Pudding

I'd assume this post is more for folks in the UK, but if anyone knows exactly what I'm talking about, please feel free to offer any suggestions! :)

I have just come to the end of my first week on MFP and I'm loving it!! And have already lost 3lbs since starting here and starting a daily exercise regime. But there are some foods that I am curious as to how I would calculate a calorie count as they don't have a label with nutrition values: one of which is black pudding! I adore it with some poached eggs and a slice of toast for breakfast every so often. But have no idea as to how I work out the number of calories per serving!

Could someone help, pretty pleeeeeease! *bats eyelashes* Have really been enjoying the new 'diet' I've adopted - although I dislike the word 'diet', it implies that I'm depriving myself of something. But therein lies my current confusion - I don't want to cut black pudding or anything else I can get from a butcher's/fishmonger's just because there's no nutrition value label.

    This is one brand.

    Shaws - Black Pudding
    per 100g
    Calories 235
    Total Fat 14 g
    Saturated 5 g
    Total Carbs 20 g
    Dietary Fiber 0 g
    Sugars 0 g
    Protein 10 g
    Sodium 950 mg

I presume they all would have very similar nutritional data. Best suggestion is, if you are cooking it yourself then weigh a portion

Black pudding is in the listings. 360 for 3 slices.

Quick Google search yeilds an average of about 230ish calories per 100g.

You'll basically have to weigh your black pudding portion and calculate what it comes to. You can also add items to the food database yourself and then they'll be there for you when you need to add them to your diary.

Thanks for your help folks! I had seen the listing on here, but it gave no indication as to how big/thick the slices were and how much they weighed. But now I have a rough idea! Think I'll be saying Black Pudding as a treat for when I wake up in a REALLY bad mood, cause that is a lot of calories for just 1 item in a meal.

    Thank you again folks xxx
