The Only Person You are Hurting, is Yourself.

When I workout, and THINK that "Oh I still have more energy but I don't want to do this." or "I'm too lazy....t.v/internet is better." I realized something.

You are only hurting yourself by not doing what you are capable.

If you want to lose weight just think, "If I stop now, what am I accomplishing? I am cheating myself."

So next time you decide to sit on that couch and say "Man, I need motivation." YOU ARE YOUR OWN MOTIVATION. DON'T CHEAT YOURSELF, GET OFF THAT COUCH AND ACHIVE THAT GOAL YOU WANT!!!

:) Those are my wise words of the day.

I totally agree!!!! I am my best motivator. I don't depend on anyone else to give me that push I need it. It comes from within. Once that is realized, anyone can accomplish anything! :)

Motivation is highly overrated anyway. It's just an emotional state. Most people don't mean "the reasons I started doing this and why I think it's worthwhile" when they say "I lost my motivation." Of course they didn't lose that. Most people mean "that feeling that this was easy and enjoyable that I had when I started out" when they talk about needing motivation. Of course you lost that. You were always going to. All emotional states pass. Even the feeling of being "in love" in a new relationship passes, and you find out what you're left with in the end. Committment, determination, discipline, those are the qualities that will help you succeed in ANYTHING in life that takes sustained effort: relationships, school, work, and yes, losing weight.

Yes I agree but I have found I do need things to keep me motivated, and I find reading slimming magazines/reading successful diet stories/finding a picture which motivates me/reading some of the posts on here/looking at clothes I want to get into knowing that I will look great/all these things keep me motivated at different times.
