Zombies Run app question

I don't have music on my phone, just usually listen to Pandora or iHeartRadio. If I download/buy the Zombies Run app (the 5k one), can I listen to one of these in the background? Or do they give you background music options?

I don't want to buy it if I am just going to have silence in between it telling me what to do. I've been in a workout rut, but am tempted to buy it and use it this afternoon, but would love to know this first.

Thanks in advance for any answers!

No, it uses the music on your phone to go in between the story. You can set it to 1 hour or half hour lengths. Then you get either two or one song in between each story segment.

I have the 5k training app, and while I am able to listen to Pandora AND use the Zombies, Run! app at the same time, the volume on the music stays constant and it is difficult to hear your instructions. The app won't integrate anything other than a playlist on the phone.

Thanks for the quick responses. I guess my next step is to figure out how to get music stored on my phone. I'm not usually technically inept, it's just not a thing I've done before.

Thanks again. I'll check out the group!

A lot of phones come with free software to help add and manage music between your pc and phone. I use winamp it is free and you create playlists as well as move them to your phone just by dragging and dropping

I stream my radio station while using it. I don't use the 5K app but the regular one. Sometimes it lowers the music volume and sometimes it doesn't. If you don't keep your music too loud you can still hear the story.
