Advice for getting back to running?

Any advice for someone who is looking to get back into running longer distances. I was running an alright amount of miles a week a few months ago. About 42 miles a week, finished my first half marathon as well. I just stopped one day though. I kind of started to dread it because I made it a chore and forgot about the love that I truly have for the sport. I want to get back into it again, and this time make it more of my passion again. I don't want to make it a chore again, any tips on avoiding that? Also does anyone have any idea on how much miles to start with? I am not totally out of shape, I don't believe that it would be a good idea to just start of with the same amount of miles per week however. Thank you all in advanced!

Run at a pace that feels comfortable, and when you don't feel like running anymore, just stop and go home. You know from experience that when running starts to feel like work it gets un-fun real fast.
Don't take a watch, don't count miles, don't "maintain a pace"
Find a place that you're familiar with but have never run at, and just go. Enjoy the sights and the fresh air. Reconnect with why you used to enjoy running.
Hell, I do this about once a week just so I don't get burnt out.
Edit: I'd start with a 3-4 mile easy run. The best way to get back into running is to end the run when you still want more. It'll make you look forward to doing it again.0 -
Thanks, I will definitely start off with 3-4 miles.0

Try to find some interesting trails to run on so much more fun than just boring streets.0
