I have lost 9 stone over 4 years by calorie counting and slimming world,I have also battled binge eating and am the closest I have ever been to having control of it,I love my new life but still have issues I am dealing with slowly but I have now hit a bit of a wall and would love some advise please,I have been left with quite a lot of loose skin but I do still have about 10lb to lose as I am only 5 foot and still weigh 9.7 but I do an hour and half six days a week of cardio and very light wights 2/3 kg and am getting no where now no inch lose,no weight lose so this week I have ordered myself a home gym (as I can't get out as have a disabled daughter to care for) with lots go heavy weights my question was any suggestions on how many days a week to do weights and should I do Cairo on the same day or not do cardio at all,as you can tell this is new to me but was inspired to start lifting by the great pics on here, any advice would be great on an excercise plan and i f my eating should change as not sure now starting weights x

Congrats on the weight loss that you've experienced thus far. Based on what you wrote, it does sound like you're ready to incorporate some heavy lifting into your fitness program to help advance your goals.

There are some starting strength-training programs that get a lot of praise here on MFP.
..New Rules Of Lifting For Women
    ..Starting Strength
    ..Stronglifts 5x5

And there are comparable groups here in MFP that are based on these lifting programs as well, including templates for lifting programs. So check those out!

Typically, a heavy lifting day would have little to no cardio (unless you're training for a specific event). So I would probably designate 5 days for heavy lifting or intense cardio (either 2 lifting, 3 cardio or vice versa). And have two rest/recovery days (casual walking is fine).

When you start lifting heavy, try to not count on the weight scale so much. Take pictures and measurements. You may not see the weight drop, but you will see your body composition change ... clothes will start feeling looser and your body will start gaining some definition. And that means progress!

Try to find some groups or online communities that you can interact with for support.

I wish you the best of luck! I'm rooting for ya!
