Heart Rate Monitors

I have had mine for at least three years. I have replaced that battery in the watch itself. Now, the battery in the chest strap is going bad. I can't find the paperwork that came with it to know what to do. Has this happened to others? And what can I do to get it fixed?

It is a Polar 6. I would contact the manufacturer but that information would also be found in the paperwork.

Their manual online says it doesn't cover (warranty/guarantee unless defective I assume) batteries, but near the bottom of the page (page #30) it says what type/model battery it uses in the watch part and the chest strap. *But the chest strap battery says it's built in lithium so I am not sure you can change that yourself?

Sometimes it's not the battery, it could be the chest strap needs to be cleaned.

@ 81Katz...thank you so much. I didn't even think of going online for the information.

My local battery store will tackle all types of replacements----I just take in whatever needs a new battery and they will take care of it or let me know in their opinion what I should do.
