Anyone practice Aikido? Do you get a workout in class or should I look into an alternative? I understand Muay Thai, Boxing, and many others are great workouts, but I am interested in Aikido. I haven't seen enough to know about their class style and training.

Maybe look at Clubs that give the whole MMA package. It will teach you multiple disciplines and make a you good all round fighter. Ground/Standing/Clinching etc will be worked on well at an MMA club.

    I have not done Aikido,
But any form of martial arts will offer a level of exercise and workout.

I did Tae-Kwon-Do, and that at times could be a tough workout....depending on how the class was ran that day....

Some times afterwards a couple guys would hang around and do some MMA style wrestling (so Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu mostly), which was fun and that is definitely a workout.
Any form of constant hand to hand contact will wear you out quick......people watching movies don't realize how tiring fighting is.....

I'm looking into it to practice a martial art, not interested in MMA, have done that previously, I'm looking to do it as an art form, but I also do want some type of physical workout.

I did hapkido, which is korean and similar to aikido. I think the level of workout you get might depend on the school you attend and what their classes are like.

    ^^ definitely this.

ive done 25 years of martial arts and only 2 school really gave me a top cardio workout each week. other schools you would get a good work out some weeks but not others. depends on what they focus on.

In my Classes I focus on Kickboxing and brazailian jui jitsu I dont come in and train "MMA" as some people think of it, I train those 2 arts. I can go and compete in those arts separately as well if I want to.
